Day 2: Forward, ever forward
The second day of the contest often feels quite critical to me. By this stage we should at least have an idea of what the major blockers for moving the project forward will be. Certainly, that was the case today, realising that the specifics of certain mechanics were still (and perhaps still are) somewhat vague. That being said, today was productive! Graphics were drawn, music was composed, code was written.
Most of the code I wrote today was pretty unexciting but necessary. Some GUI interactions were added and refined, and perhaps most significantly processes governing how the player grows their stats were established. The finer details of these processes are far from secure, but I think we at least have a decent point to start from.
With the critical day over, this is what I did:
• Made plenty more graphics;
• Worked on the soundtrack;
• Wrote lots of code pertaining to character stats and growth;
• Worked on GUI code some more.
What does tomorrow have in store? Ideally:
• Continue work on the stats and growth system;
• More more more graphics;
• Finish one of the tracks.
Until then!
